Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift

Location: Dade City, FL
Pay: $18–$22 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Training on 1st shift (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM) during your first week

About the Company

Our client is a leading materials recovery and recycling facility (MRF) specializing in responsible recycling and waste management solutions. They are expanding their operations and seeking dependable, safety-minded professionals to join our 2nd shift team.

Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to support our recycling operations. This role is responsible for safely operating forklifts and related equipment to move, stack, and load materials. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials as required.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Assist with inventory control and accurate product tracking.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
  • Follow all company procedures for material handling and storage.
  • Work in an environment with airborne dust, dirt particles, and varying temperatures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid forklift operator certification/license.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or recycling setting.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety and teamwork.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in conditions with airborne dust and fluctuating temperatures.
  • Must wear employer-provided PPE and provide your own Knee - high steel toed rubber boots.
  • Maintain alertness, good judgment, and quick reflexes at all times.
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
