Shift: Days Shift (Monday - Friday) 40 Guaranteed Hrs.

Pay Package Travel: (must be 45 miles from the facility)

  • Weekly Gross: $1,700
  • Hourly (Taxable): $15/hr (W2)
  • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,100

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Orthopedic Technologist experience
  • BLS (AHA) Certification - Required
  • Orthopedic Tech Certification - Required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and braces as ordered by the provider.
  • Assist orthopedic physicians during exams and minor procedures.
  • Clean and dress orthopedic wounds and remove sutures or staples as directed.
  • Measure, fit, and sometimes fabricate custom splints and orthopedic supports.
  • Educate patients and families on care, use, and precautions for orthopedic devices.
  • Monitor and report changes in limb circulation, skin integrity, and pain around casts or splints.
  • Maintain and stock casting, splinting, and brace supplies and equipment.
  • Document all orthopedic procedures and patient education in the medical record.
  • Coordinate patient flow for the orthopedic clinic or department, including prep and room turnover.
  • Participate in training or mentoring of new orthopedic staff or technologists.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $44.99 per hour
