Duties, Responsibilities & OtherEssential Duties and Responsibilities*:
This position is for an underground Class A CDL Driver with general construction experience.
- Operate and maintain CDL A vehicle and trailer combination.
- Perform routine maintenance and daily pre and post trip inspections.
- Perform various physical duties as instructed by foreman to complete construction tasks; dig test pits, hand dig trench, etc..
- Identify potential safety hazards. Create a corrective action plan when safety hazards are recognized.
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Experience placing underground cable a plus.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be willing to work evenings/weekends when required. Travel for overnight and extended stay projects are possible and should be expected.

Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 4 years of experience.
- A valid current driver's license is required.
- Clean driving record as an outcome of a pre-employment motor vehicle records search.
- A valid current CDL A driver's license and DOT card is required.
- Background checks may be required based upon position.
Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
