They also hold all the proper credentials in their respective trades: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) training and certification, low voltage electrical, electronic security systems, fire alarm, mass notification systems, and fiber optic design and installation that includes some of the most technologically advanced security systems currently in use across the country. The Job

Fire Alarm System Mechanic

The Fire Alarm System Mechanic must be able to perform corrective and preventative maintenance of the Fire Alarm System. The installation and service of the systems requires work planning and the scheduling of with other trades to complete tasks on time and within budget. The Fire Alarm System Mechanic will serve as the main liaison between the customer and the company and operate as the site lead.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience with the installation and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Secret Clearance - Current Secret Clearance is a plus.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background screenings.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer Service.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • NICET II or ESA CFAT Lvl II or the ability to obtain ESA CFAT Lvl II
  • If the candidate does not have these certifications but has the experience, The Company will sponsor the certification for the right candidate.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Honeywell, DMP, Edwards

Other Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of low voltage systems and their applications.
  • Demonstrable experience in relay logic.
  • Electronic Access Control Systems – PACS.
  • Camera Systems – CCTV/VSS.
  • Intrusion Detections Systems – IDS.
  • Computers & Servers – Microsoft SQL.
  • Networking.
  • Previously Military Experience preferred but not required.

Nice To Have:

  • Electronic Access Control Systems – PACS experience.
  • Camera Systems – CCTV/VSS experience.

Per Diem & Travel:

  • Company provided hotel, rental car, airline.
  • Meals paid out at GSA rates for the work area.

Schedule:

  • 8 Hours per day Monday – Friday
  • Overtime as needed.
  • Weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
