Picture your day (or night): you arrive for a 12-hour shift at a leading global eye health manufacturer, check the handoff notes, and partner with operations technicians and engineers to keep state-of-the-art lines running at peak efficiency. You're the go-to for diagnosing issues across electro-mechanical systems, documenting your work precisely, and proactively executing preventative maintenance so the line keeps producing quality product.

Shift Options (12-hour schedules with built-in overtime and regular days off)
  • Rotating Day/Night: Week 1: Mon/Tue (6 AM–6 PM), Fri/Sat/Sun (6 PM–6 AM); Week 2: Wed/Thu (6 AM–6 PM)
  • Straight Nights: 6 PM–6 AM on a 2-2-3 pattern

What You'll Tackle
  • Collaborate with Operations technicians and Engineers to minimize downtime and increase line throughput.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and document mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on high-speed equipment.
  • Diagnose PLC/HMI control system software problems where feasible.
  • Plan, perform, and record preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate status and downtime updates to other shifts and leadership.
  • Assist with offline rebuilds, upgrades, and prep work.
  • Work the Bausch + Lomb-style twelve-hour rotational schedule as required.
  • Travel occasionally for equipment builds, integrations, or training (minimal).
  • Support plant manufacturing systems under the Plant Maintenance Supervisor's direction.
What You Bring
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Technical apprenticeship or Associate's in an electrical or mechanical discipline (relevant experience may substitute).
  • Experience: 2+ years repairing equipment and performing PMs; familiarity with documentation practices in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices) is a plus.
Technical Strengths
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements; comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of cGMP and cleanroom practices (preferred).
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics (required).
  • Demonstrated problem solving and strong troubleshooting capability.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (desired).
  • Hands-on with robots and servos (SCARA, FANUC, Staubli, IAI) is a plus.
  • Injection molding equipment experience (electric and hydraulic) is desirable.
