We are a boutique hospitality and restaurant interior design firm dedicated to creating memorable, functional, and innovative spaces. Our small, dynamic team values collaboration, attention to detail, and design excellence. We are seeking an experienced Interior Design CAD Drafter to join our in-house drafting department and help bring our projects to life.

Position Overview:

The Interior Design CAD Drafter will be responsible for producing detailed construction documents and millwork drawings for hospitality and restaurant projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality design, excellent problem-solving skills, and the confidence to communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors. This is not a remote position; candidates must be able to work on-site in our Orange County office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed construction documents and millwork drawings for hospitality and restaurant projects.
  • Develop CAD drawings from sketches and layouts based on instructions from Principals, Managers, or Coordinators.
  • Perform field verification to confirm as-built conditions.
  • Update plans in response to evolving design revisions or feedback.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Submit construction documents for approvals and permits.
  • Ensure compliance with basic building codes.
  • Conduct research as needed to support project development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3–5 years of interior design drafting experience, preferably in hospitality or restaurant projects.
  • Education: Degree in Interior Design or Architecture preferred
  • Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office (Word, Excel), Adobe Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and millwork detailing.
  • Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Highly organized, responsible, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude; able to work independently or as part of a team.
