General Summary:

Under the supervision of the Emergency Management Director and/or the Assistant Director, ensure that the emergency management plans and similar documents are maintained as needed and required by statute and law. Participates and assists in planning required drills and exercises. Supports other functions of Emergency Management as required.

Employment Qualifications: 

Equivalent of one year coursework in Emergency Management or related field. Experience in emergency management preferred. Valid driver's license and use of a vehicle. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions as well as the Incident Command System (ICS) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).  Ability to walk over uneven terrain if visiting a disaster site. Lift up to 25lbs.
