Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Indirect Tax Senior Manager to join our tax team. This individual will play a key leadership role in managing all aspects of U.S. and Canadian indirect tax compliance and planning, including sales and use tax, GST, and real and personal property taxes. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid position with expectations to be in the office Monday-Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end compliance and reporting for U.S. and Canadian indirect taxes, including sales & use, GST, and property taxes.
  • Lead sales and use tax initiatives to improve processes, enhance accuracy, and identify opportunities for tax savings.
  • Manage indirect tax audits and serve as the primary point of contact with taxing authorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure tax compliance within business operations and transactions.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advice to support business initiatives and minimize tax risk.
  • Supervise and mentor tax staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in indirect tax, including both public accounting and corporate environments.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian indirect tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Proven track record in managing complex compliance operations and leading tax projects.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
