Our Client, a large private equity organization with 160+ entities and numerous port-cos, is seeking a
Senior Procurement Logistics Support Specialist
to backfill a critical role on their logistics team. This opportunity offers immediate impact, cross-functional visibility, and the chance to help refine and elevate logistics processes for high-value equipment and materials.

About the Role

The Senior Procurement Logistics Support Specialist will oversee shipping logistics, delivery forecasting, vendor coordination, and process improvement efforts for both compute and non-compute assets. This individual will partner closely with procurement leadership and serve as the logistics representative on the Procurement leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a consolidated and regularly updated shipping plan, including origins, destinations, timelines, and risk indicators
  • Track and forecast delivery timelines, proactively identifying and addressing timing issues
  • Ensure site readiness and support asset registration and goods receipt
  • Coordinate with Administrative and Finance teams to align logistics and purchasing activities
  • Help refine and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide strategic input and represent logistics in leadership meetings
  • Manage communications with vendors and external partners
  • Support purchasing, timeline planning, and issue escalation

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent experience in supply chain logistics
  • Strong background in shipping logistics involving large equipment
  • Experience in industries such as Construction, Oil & Gas, or similar equipment-heavy environments
  • Demonstrated ability to track shipments, manage moving delivery targets, and anticipate issues
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strategic planning experience within logistics
  • Solid knowledge of purchasing processes and timeline management
  • Excellent communication skills and vendor management experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to start quickly and be onsite more frequently during initial onboarding
  • Strong computer skills and process-oriented mindset

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Coupa
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Understanding of compute and/or non-compute vendor management
