MOOD | Design + Build is a growing Chicago-based design firm seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on leading, managing, and executing high-end residential projects from concept to completion. In addition to strong technical design skills, ideal candidates bring exceptional communication, self-direction, and a collaborative spirit.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead residential interior design projects, including design development, FF&E, and construction coordination
  • Produce and manage CAD drawings, specifications, and presentation materials
  • Source and specify furnishings, finishes, and materials
  • Coordinate with trades, vendors, and consultants to execute design vision
  • Maintain client relationships and ensure project milestones are met on time and on budget

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of interior design or interior architecture experience (excluding sales roles)

Technical & Industry Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, rendering software
  • Presentation tools: Canva, Google Docs, Microsoft/Apple software
  • FF&E and material specification
  • Understanding of residential construction methods and codes
  • Permit coordination and trade/vendor management
  • Strong design detailing, documentation, and presentation experience

Compensation & Benefits:
