We're currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a full-time Infection Preventionist in our skilled nursing facility. This role is perfect for an RN or LPN who wants to specialize in infection control and play a key leadership role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both residents and staff.
Position Details:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule
- Participation in on-call rotation and occasional Manager on Duty shifts
- Requires occasional weekend and night monitoring to ensure consistency of Infection Prevention (IP) practices across all shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage infection prevention and control efforts facility-wide
- Lead our Antibiotic Stewardship Program
- Audit and monitor infection control practices across all departments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and improve infection prevention strategies
- Complete necessary documentation and reporting in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing
- Strong desire to specialize in Infection Prevention
- Completion of CDC Infection Preventionist Training (required; can be completed upon hire)
- Additional ongoing training required
- Leadership skills are essential – this role interacts with all departments and levels of staff
Compensation:
- RN starting wage: $39–$41/hour, based on experience
- LPN starting wage: $34–$36/hour, based on experience
- Earn an additional $0.10/hour From The Starting Wage for each year of experience, up to 20 years
