About this role:
As a Certified Nurse Midwife in obstetrics and gynecology, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will see patients OB and gynecology in clinic, guide deliveries in the hospital, serve as first assist in the OR, and post op inpatient care.
Practice Location: Women's Health Specialists, St. George, UT
Team Structure: Join a newly established midwifery division alongside three other experienced CNMs
Community Demand: Immediate opportunity to build a robust patient panel—strong local need for midwifery and gynecology services
Practice Model: A unique blend of established infrastructure and fresh opportunity—step into a respected clinic in a new capacity
Support System: Manage your own panel with collaborative support from three OB/GYN physicians and an inpatient OB hospitalist team
Clinic Schedule: Monday through Friday, with 36 patient-facing hours per week
Call Coverage: On-call approximately one week out of every four, during which you'll manage deliveries for your team

What you'll bring:
- CNM degree from an accredited program
- Board certification or eligibility by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- At least 3 years' experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife – new grads will not be accepted
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
- We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time

St. George Regional Hospital:
A Level II trauma center, St. George Regional Hospital is the largest medical facility between Provo, Utah, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Serving the healthcare needs of Southern Utah, Southeastern Nevada, and Northern Arizona, it has been a cornerstone of healthcare for over 100 years.
Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).

May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
