For the Deli Associate, this means delivering prompt, friendly service, preparing and handling food with care and accuracy, keeping the deli area clean and well-stocked, and using product knowledge to assist customers with their selections and special orders.
Your Day-to-Day
Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and assist customers with deli orders and product selectionsSafely slice meats & cheeses to customer specifications.Handle text & special orders promptly for all customersStock and rotate deli products, ensuring freshness, proper labeling, and attractive displaysMaintain full knowledge of deli offerings, including pricing and sale itemsMonitor product quality, checking packaging, dates, and overall presentationPrepare salads, sandwiches, and fresh slice items as assignedClean slicers, tools, and work areas, and help keep the deli department organized and sanitaryWhat you bring to the Farm
Willingness to learn the different products offered within the department to help serve the customersFriendly and welcoming atmosphere for all customers within the deli departmentAbility to demonstrate and set the example for Adams' culture and valuesWillingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managersExhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams' products and qualityWorking Conditions
Must be 18 years oldConsistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 25 poundsSafely Operate deli slicers and other equipment necessary to operate the departmentAbility to remain in a stationary position for duration of shiftEffectively communicate with others and work in a productive/fast pace environmentOccasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladderRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shiftCommunicate with others to exchange informationMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in tight and confined spacesUse the compactor and cardboard crusher for disposing of garage and cardboardPerks of the Job

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions – including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $ $23.10. At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
