Job Summary

New Heights Christian School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher's Aide to join our team for the 2025–2026 academic year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working in a Christ-centered environment that values academic excellence, spiritual development, and community outreach.

Our small class sizes and low teacher-to-student ratios allow for individualized attention and strong relationships between staff and students. We serve children from preschool through sixth grade and have been a trusted part of the Central Point community for over 40 years.

The ideal candidate will be nurturing, flexible, and enthusiastic about supporting classroom instruction, assisting teachers, and helping students thrive both academically and spiritually.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans in alignment with school curriculum and Christian values.
  • Foster a classroom environment that is safe, respectful, and supportive of each child's academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development.
  • Integrate Biblical principles and Christian worldview into daily instruction and classroom culture.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and parents to support student success.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Participate in school-wide events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with students, families, and staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in early childhood or elementary education preferred.

  • Prior experience working with children in a classroom, childcare, or ministry setting preferred.

  • A strong personal faith and commitment to living out Christian values in words and actions.

  • Ability to collaborate positively with teachers, staff, and administration.

  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with children.

  • Must pass a background check and meet Oregon Early Learning Division requirements for childcare staff.
