In addition to managing day-to-day theater operations, you'll help shape our online presence by coordinating social media and marketing efforts that connect with our community. If you thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment — and love movies — this is the role for you.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead, coach, and coordinate theater staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Enforce wardrobe policies and maintain high standards for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Observe staff performance, provide coaching, and contribute to performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation protocols.
  • Open and close the theater, performing operational and administrative tasks.
  • Assign registers, balance cash and coupons, and prepare deposits with accurate documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve point-of-sale issues, including opening support tickets as needed.
  • Resolve guest questions, concerns, and complaints with professionalism.
  • Maintain excellent communication with guests and co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Guarantee films start on time with exceptional sound and projection quality.
  • Motivate and develop employees to achieve their full potential.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate the theater's social media presence across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Create engaging posts and campaigns to promote films, events, and special offers.
  • Respond to online comments, messages, and reviews promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with management to plan and execute marketing strategies.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and adjust content to maximize reach and impact.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice that reflects the theater's values and overall mission.

SKILLS

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate expectations clearly.
  • Proven experience as a Shift Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Ability to make confident decisions and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic bookkeeping skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to learn theater-specific software (scheduling, point-of-sale, digital content).
  • Customer service focus with the ability to handle complaints professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creativity and familiarity with social media platforms, with the ability to create engaging, on-brand content.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Age 18 or older.
  • Relevant college degree preferred but not required.
  • At least one year of managerial or leadership experience.
  • Proven experience managing costs with positive P&L impact.
  • Interest in advancing to a General Manager role strongly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and passion for the theater industry.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a commitment to team growth.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
