As a Transporter in Radiology at our facility you will be joining a hard-working, compassionate team. We value every member of our team and consider ourselves a family, we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

• You will be responsible for transporting patients to and from the Radiology Department and their assigned hospital room.

• You will assist the technologist with moving of patients in and out of examining rooms.

• You will check oxygen tanks at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure that they are full and all parts are operating properly.

• You will clean transportation equipment after each patient use.

• You will provide encouragement, support, and comfort to patients and family members.

• You will observe and report information regarding patient needs to licensed personnel.

• You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.

• You will perform clerical work as needed, including assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages.

• Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
