Overview
Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) is hiring a Data Steward Analyst to join our Data Stewardship Team. As a Data Steward Analyst you will play a pivotal role in helping to establish and enable, a bank-wide Data Steward function to help ensure the Bank's Data Governance program is efficient and effective in supporting implementation and ongoing adherence to the Data Management Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing development of Data Governance Forum communications and tracking across the Data Steward program
  • Support Data Steward enablement with data quality observations by interfacing with the Data Quality team on rule development and escalations
  • Discuss transaction testing results clearly and succinctly with the adherence testing team to identify key themes and support ongoing ad hoc training
  • Create and maintain communications for policy and standards processes and guidance escalations and responses
  • Work independently and collectively with peers. Display critical thought, attention to detail, and a natural curiosity to help drive solutions and create value-add Data Steward oriented communications, training and guidance support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Data Steward or general Data Governance support within the Banking or Financial Services Industries: Loan File Reviews, Regulatory Reporting, Audit, Compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to document the work performed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex scenarios and ideas clearly and succinctly
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and ability to adapt to change
  • Proficient in using data presentation and analysis tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in transaction testing of retail and/or commercial loans and familiarity with regulatory reporting (FR Y-14, FR Y-9C, FR 2052a).
  • Working knowledge of data governance, data related risks and controls, and risk management principles.
  • Understanding of financial products (e.g., deposits, loans, securities, etc.)
