Job Title: Multicraft Maintenance Technician (Contract)

Location: Comstock Park, MI

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Multicraft Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations at a leading automotive supplier in Comstock Park. This hands-on role involves both mechanical and electrical maintenance responsibilities, with a focus on building and assembling parts for robotic cells. The ideal candidate has a strong background in troubleshooting, fabrication, and system integration within an industrial or automated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and fabricate parts for robotic cells according to specifications and engineering drawings
  • Assemble and install robotic cells, ensuring proper alignment, wiring, and mechanical fit
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Collaborate with engineers, automation specialists, and production staff to improve system performance and reliability
  • Maintain detailed maintenance and repair records
  • Follow all plant safety and quality procedures

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a multicraft or industrial maintenance role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with fabrication, assembly, and equipment builds
  • Working knowledge of robotics, PLCs, and automated systems preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Schedule & Terms:

  • Contract position, Monday through Friday (40 hours/week)
  • Day shift with potential for occasional overtime as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $ $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
