Environmental Science Internship

As an Environmental Science Intern, you will join our Site Assessment and Remediation Team in our Westfield, MA office, where you will assist with the delivery of vital remediation, public utility, and infrastructure improvement projects across the Northeast. Working with industry experts, you'll help the team tackle complex challenges that strengthen community resilience and advance environmental sustainability. Our Site Assessment and Remediation Team and Projects
Our team provides comprehensive environmental services, including ASTM site assessments, subsurface investigations, soil gas/vapor intrusion evaluations, and geophysical studies. We specialize in remedial investigations, design, and implementation, along with complex soil and groundwater management projects. Additionally, we manage site remediation and regulatory closure to ensure compliance and long-term sustainability for each project. 

What You'll Be Doing

As a valuable part of our Site Assessment and Remediation Team, an Environmental Science Intern will support a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience with responsibilities such as: 

• Conduct fieldwork for environmental site assessments (ESAs)

• Assist with soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling

• Support oversight of drilling activities and observe remedial operations

• Help monitor and maintain remediation systems

• Participate in data collection, review, and interpretation

• Contribute to the preparation of work plans, site assessment reports, and remedial action plans

What You'll Need  

• Working toward the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or Engineering

• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record

• Access to reliable personal transportation

• Previous internship or academic experience performing environmental field work,  remediation projects, data collection, analysis, or interpretation.
