Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a HIM (Health Information Management) Director, located in Bullhead City, AZ. The HIM Director will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of health information systems, ensuring the accuracy, privacy, and security of patient data. The role involves supervising the HIM department staff, developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The HIM Director will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care and streamline information management processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of health information management practices, medical terminology, and coding
  • Experience with health information systems, data analysis, and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Leadership, team management, and organizational skills
  • An understanding of privacy regulations such as HIPAA, and other relevant state and federal laws
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field; RHIA or RHIT certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
