Job Description:

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Fullstack Developers to help drive the expansion of their next-generation Generative AI (GenAI) platform which is essentially their internal ChatGPT. This resource will work on integrating engineering data into intelligent, agentic workflows powered by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures. These contributions will directly support global engineering initiatives and enable AI-driven innovation at scale. This is a great opportunity for someone to make a massive impact at a Fortune 500 company and will touch every organization across Pratt & Whitney Globally

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a software developer building enterprise-scale applications or platforms using Python
  • At least 1 year experience designing GenAI or LLM powered APIs for enterprise use (RAG-based)

o Building ChatGPT style apps from scratch is a HUGE PLUS

  • Experience integrating with APIs, data services, or internal data platforms
  • Hands-on experience connecting data sources with SQL databases and/or ORM frameworks (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM)

o Engineering or technical data systems (CAD, PLM, sensor data, simulation outputs)

Nice to have:

• Django experience

  • Basic frontend experience with or React
  • Experience with unstructured libraries

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and extend Python modules to integrate engineering data into GenAI workflows.
  • Work on scalable RAG-based agent architecture for knowledge retrieval and AI-driven automation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, and software teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.
  • Design and maintain systems that support modular AI applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and access layers for use in LLM-powered workflows.
  • Ensure high code quality, performance, and reliability through best practices and peer reviews.
