Job Overview

As a Robotics Automation Engineer in electronics manufacturing, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining robotic systems to automate production and assembly processes and improve efficiency, precision, and reliability in manufacturing environments. This role requires a blend of skills across robotics, electronics, control systems, and software engineering.​

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robotic systems for automation of manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues within robotic systems.
  • Program and configure industrial robots, PLCs, and automation equipment to perform precise, repetitive tasks on the production and assembly line.​
  • Troubleshoot, test, and refine automated systems to optimize quality, reduce downtime, and improve throughput.​
  • Maintain and upgrade existing robotic and automated systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.​
  • Utilise AutoCAD and SolidWorks for creating detailed schematics and CAD models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of robotic solutions.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production efficiency.
  • Oversee fabrication and assembly of robotic components, ensuring adherence to GD&T standards.
  • Work with tooling and plastics injection moulding processes to develop innovative solutions.
  • Perform welding tasks as required for system assembly and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in robotics, automation, electrical, electronics, or mechatronics engineering.​
  • Robotics automation experience in Electronics/Consumer Electronics is a must added advantage
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD/CAM software tools.
  • Proficiency in robot programming languages and industrial automation platforms (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, PLCs).​
  • Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques, tooling, assembly, and welding processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to debugging and optimization.​
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in electronics manufacturing.​
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills for effective teamwork and support.​

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $79, $95,141.44 per year
