Practice: Lake Forest Dental Associates (Premier Cosmetic & Family Dentistry)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Dental Laboratory Technician to join our growing, high-quality dental practice. If you take pride in precision, aesthetics, and efficient workflow, we'd love to meet you.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with digital workflows, implant cases, and high-end restorative materials. You will collaborate closely with our dentists to ensure consistent excellence in all lab-produced prosthetics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain ZirconZahn milling units
  • Manage 3D printing workflows for models and provisional restorations (Rodin preferred)
  • Design, finish, stain, and glaze zirconia and e.max crowns
  • Assist with implant restorations, including custom abutment prep, emergence profile, and case planning
  • Perform quality checks for accuracy, margin integrity, contacts, and esthetics
  • Support chairside shade matching as needed
  • Maintain organized digital and physical lab workflows

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a dental lab technician (preferred 2+ years)
  • Strong understanding of CAD/CAM workflows
  • Proficient with:
  • ZirconZahn milling system
  • 3D printing for models & temps (Rodin resin experience ideal)
  • Staining & glazing zirconia and e.max
  • Knowledge of implant systems and components
  • High attention to detail, strong esthetic sensitivity
  • Reliable, efficient, and able to work independently

Schedule

  • Part-time position
