Foreman – Drywall

Job Summary

We are urgently hiring an experienced Drywall & Metal Framing Foreman for a commercial project in the Orlando, FL area.

We are looking for a reliable leader who can run a crew, read blueprints, coordinate materials, and ensure production stays on schedule.

• Lead and supervise a drywall/metal framing crew
• Read and interpret commercial blueprints
• Coordinate material needs and daily production goals
• Ensure safety compliance (OSHA)
• Communicate progress with project manager
• Maintain quality and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software to ensure timely project completion.
• Oversee daily construction site activities, supervising teams to adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to facilitate accurate construction execution.
• Coordinate procurement and budgeting processes using HeavyBid or similar estimating tools to control costs effectively.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections to verify work meets safety standards (OSHA compliance), design specifications, and client expectations.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and ensure proper installation of electrical systems according to schematics.
• Lead project meetings with stakeholders to review progress, address issues, and update schedules or plans as needed.
• Supervise on-site personnel, providing guidance on construction methods, safety procedures, and best practices in construction management.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, change orders, contracts, and daily reports for transparency and accountability.

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction management software including Primavera P6, Bluebeam, ProCore, and other industry-standard tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles including scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and quality assurance.
• Proven ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Hands-on experience with construction site supervision across diverse projects involving pipelines or heavy infrastructure.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and the ability to enforce safety protocols on-site.
• Skilled in project estimating using HeavyBid or similar software; capable of managing project budgets effectively.
• Excellent management skills with a history of supervising teams in fast-paced environments; adept at coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Technical proficiency with electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters; understanding of electrical schematics is essential.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to read complex schematics and technical documents; detail-oriented approach to quality control.
