Overview:

A global financial institution with a strong U.S. presence is seeking an experienced professional to strengthen its Business Continuity and Operational Resilience framework. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior leaders and business units across the organization to ensure the firm's preparedness and response capabilities meet regulatory expectations and best practices. The position combines strategic oversight, cross-functional coordination, and hands-on testing to safeguard the bank's operations and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and support units to maintain and enhance the firm's enterprise-wide Business Continuity and Resilience program.
  • Coordinate periodic Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Risk Assessments, and updates to continuity and recovery plans.
  • Support the governance and execution of the BC policy framework, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver BCM-related reports, presentations, and risk committee materials.
  • Assist in planning and executing business continuity and disaster recovery exercises, including scenario testing for system outages, cybersecurity events, and pandemic response.
  • Capture test results, document lessons learned, and drive remediation and improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and industry trends to advise leadership on program enhancements.
  • Collaborate with related risk functions, such as Third-Party Risk, Technology Risk, and Operational Risk, to ensure cohesive program coverage.
  • Contribute to incident and crisis management activities, supporting rapid response and recovery during operational disruptions.
  • Participate in training programs and ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory standards.
