We are seeking a
Financial Planning and Strategy Consultant
to serve as a key liaison between Business and IT, supporting financial operations, strategic planning, and executive decision-making for large-scale technology initiatives. This role requires a strong foundation in financial analysis, portfolio management, and executive reporting—ideal for someone with a management consulting background and experience in banking or financial services. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and act as the right hand to a key business leader, occasionally stepping in as her backup.

What will your day look like? As a Financial Planning and Strategy Consultant you will:


• Lead financial oversight for enterprise IT initiatives exceeding $200MM in project and BAU spend.


• Partner directly with multiple CIOs to deliver forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis across strategic programs.


• Develop and refine long-range financial models to guide investment decisions and resourcing plans.


• Prepare executive-level presentations, delivering financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.


• Manage and mentor a small team of analysts responsible for procurement, reporting, and budget management.


• Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure financial transparency, compliance, and governance.


• Support strategic planning sessions with data-driven recommendations and scenario modeling.


• Step in as backup to the financial lead as needed to maintain leadership continuity and stakeholder confidence.

You will be a good fit for this IT Finance Professional role if you have:


• Management consulting experience with a proven ability to operate in complex, matrixed organizations.


• A strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and portfolio management.


• Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector.


• Comfort presenting regularly to senior stakeholders, including CIOs and executives.


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.


• A hybrid skill set blending business analytics, strategic planning, and project financial management.


• Advanced Excel modeling and financial reporting skills; Power BI or visualization experience a plus.


• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
