Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in telecommunications and network installation, with hands-on experience in fiber splicing, cabling, and field service. This role involves working in various environments to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems, ensuring optimal performance for our clients.

Duties

  • Perform fiber splicing and installation of telecommunication networks.
  • Install and configure Cisco routers and other networking equipment.
  • Conduct field service operations including troubleshooting and repair of network issues.
  • Utilize hand tools and equipment to complete installations and repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while working with low voltage systems.
  • Utilize an ohmmeter for testing electrical connections and ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues on-site.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in service technician roles within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking principles, Ethernet, and telephony systems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems and electrical experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools related to installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on detail-oriented work.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • A valid driver's license is required for travel to various job sites.
