We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled HVAC Supervisor to lead our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) maintenance and installation teams. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance activities across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Lead field service technicians in troubleshooting complex HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
- Review schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Oversee plumbing and mechanical system repairs, including appliance repair and equipment maintenance for property systems.
- Conduct inspections of HVAC/R systems using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
- Train team members on proper use of diagnostic tools, safety procedures, and technical skills related to HVAC/R systems.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and safety compliance documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and company policies related to construction, property maintenance, and environmental standards.
- Support the development of new HVAC designs or upgrades to improve energy efficiency and system performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements or technical upgrades within the team.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic specializing in HVAC systems with a strong background in construction environments.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters; welding skills are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field service teams effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high safety standards.
- Familiarity with property maintenance operations across commercial or industrial facilities is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience in appliance repair, air conditioning systems, heating units, and refrigeration equipment management.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R certifications or licenses required by local regulations is a plus.
