Lake Washington School District Extended Day Program is seeking qualified candidates for district wide Instructional Assistant positions.

Description:

183 day working calendar

Hours Per Day: 7.0/ 35 hours per week

Split Shift: 6:15am-9:00am/2:30pm-6:30pm, Wednesday Only 6:15am-9:30am/1:00pm-6:30pm

Shift subject to change.

Location: Sandburg Elementary (Extended Day Instructional Assistants are subject to location changes depending on the needs of the program.)

Hourly Rate: $26.62 (SC11 Salary Schedule) Position is eligible for membership in the Lake Washington Service Employees International Union.

Activities offered at the Extended Day Program include:

playing sports and general recreation

completing arts and crafts

playing games

reading

storytelling

listening to music

watching movies

  • Rockwell Elementary (Redmond)
  • Rose Hill Elementary (Kirkland)
  • Sandburg Elementary (Kirkland)
  • Thoreau Elementary (Kirkland)

SUMMARY:

Directly responsible for the implementation of the daily classroom program.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours, OR have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 455 or higher, OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher. Official documentation will be required upon hire.
  • Must pass criminal background check
