Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Monitor and document clients' vital signs and overall health status while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Support clients in engaging with their communities through social activities and skill-building opportunities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients with dementia or other health conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, home health, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration practices and ability to manage care plans effectively.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and the ability to provide compassionate support for clients experiencing cognitive decline.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to perform basic health assessments, including taking vital signs.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- A positive attitude, patience, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
