Summary: The CVOR Surgical Technologist plays a critical role as part of the cardiovascular surgical team, providing technical support during complex heart and vascular surgeries. This role is responsible for preparing the surgical environment, ensuring proper instrumentation, and assisting the surgeon throughout the procedure to promote optimal patient outcomes and surgical efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the CVOR for surgical procedures by setting up sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment in accordance with the specific requirements of cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures such as open-heart surgery, vascular grafts, valve replacements, and other thoracic operations.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assistants during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and following aseptic techniques.
  • Handle specialized cardiovascular instruments and devices, including heart-lung machines, vein harvesters, and sternal saws.

Requirements:

  • Must have Level 1 Trauma experience,
  • 2 - Year experience Required,
  • BLS Certification,
  • Certified Surgical Technologist.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $ $60.00 per hour
