Maintenance Mechanic

Location: 2473 W. 2950 N., Salt Lake City, UT 84116
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 40+ hours per week

Bridor is hiring Maintenance Mechanics for our brand-new industrial baking manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City. These are newly created positions offering a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art equipment and help shape operations from the ground up.

We are seeking candidates at all levels—from skilled manufacturing line mechanics to seasoned maintenance experts with electrical and automation experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production and facility systems

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration equipment

  • Install, modify, and repair equipment to ensure operational efficiency

  • Follow all food safety, GMP, and safety regulations

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS

  • Assist with equipment changeovers, setups, and calibrations

  • Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies

  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, OSHA, FDA, DEP, EPA, and TCPA regulations

  • Ability to follow all safety, health, and environmental rules

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration systems

  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and basic electrical troubleshooting (a plus)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Other Requirements

  • Good decision-making, initiative, and organizational skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities

  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (food industry preferred)

  • Ammonia refrigeration and HVAC experience a plus

  • Must be able to understand, speak, and write English

Compensation

  • Starting Pay (Level 1): $30.00 per hour

  • Pay may be higher for Level 2 or Level 3 depending on experience and skill level
