Position Details

• Location: Valdosta, GA
• Employment Type: Contract position with potential for increased hours based on performance and availability
• Responsibilities: Includes driving to client locations and, in some cases, providing assistance during sessions

Requirements

• Certification: Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or related field from an accredited university
• Professional Liability Insurance: Must have or be willing to obtain upon hire
• First Aid/CPR Certification: For pediatrics and adults (must have or be willing to obtain upon hire)
• Transportation: Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current full-coverage auto insurance
• Technology: Tablet for documentation
• Background Check: Ability to pass a background and driving history check
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Optional, but boosters are strongly encouraged

Preferred Qualifications

• Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) Certification
• Veteran Experience: Military service or experience working with the veteran population (not required but a plus)
• Clinical Experience: Working with brain injury, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), mental health populations, and/or veterans
• Technology: Ownership of or willingness to purchase a tablet for documentation
