The Public Relations Account Manager plays a vital role in developing narratives and enhancing publicity for PR clients, helping them achieve their objectives.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate for this position is a people-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills, well-suited for a forward-facing role that involves managing multiple accounts and maintaining exceptional attention to detail. The position requires a strong writer and storyteller with established media connections in the NY Tri-State area. This is a permanent, part-time position (15 hours per week) with a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence only as needed or for team meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Lead weekly, monthly, or quarterly strategy meetings with PR clients, including agenda preparation.
Develop creative and engaging campaigns to showcase and promote clients, supporting their goals.
Create and distribute strategic materials for media pitches and podcasts to secure coverage and placement.
Collaborate with the Junior Account Manager to create social media reels, draft captions and copy, and oversee all social media content handled by the Junior Account Manager.
- Develop and distribute strategies for press releases, with existing relationships, in addition to ETR + PRTR's relationships.
Organize media and outreach lists, including community calendar lists and social media groups.
Prepare award nominations for clients.
Oversee blogs, newsletters, e-blasts, marketing materials, and special projects in collaboration with the Junior Account Manager.
Provide leadership and support to the Junior Account Manager.
10. Attend networking events and seek new opportunities to foster the growth of PR To Remember, the agency's PR division.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
· Excellent writing, organizational, and time management skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills, forward-facing personality, and comfortable with leading client meetings.
· Proficiency in Google Workspace.
· High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
· Previous agency experience is a plus.
