About the Role

The
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)
is seeking an experienced
IT Customer Relationship Manager (CRM)
to act as a trusted liaison between the IT Division and business partners.

The CRM will develop and maintain strong executive relationships, manage IT escalations, and ensure smooth delivery of technology services and projects across VDOT's districts and central offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with VDOT leadership up to executive level.
  • Partner with district offices to manage IT coordination, escalations, and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain multi-year business capability roadmaps with Enterprise Architecture.
  • Identify opportunities for new IT services, innovation, and service improvement.
  • Collaborate with ITD teams on production operations and strategic planning.
  • Manage escalations related to projects, technology procurements, and service requests.
  • Support compliance with
    VDOT
    and
    VITA
    IT standards, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent IT experience (minimum 6 years).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT management, customer engagement, or service delivery roles.
  • Experience with
    SDLC
    ,
    Agile Methodology
    , and
    Technology Procurement
    .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with leadership at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation, influence, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strategic thinker – able to connect business goals to IT execution.
  • Product line planning, development, and management experience (1+ year).
  • BRMP Certification (Mandatory)
    — issued by the BRM Institute.
  • Knowledge of
    VDOT/VITA
    structure (Preferred).

Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid:
    2 days onsite in Richmond, VA | 3 days remote.

    local to Virginia
