We are looking for a motivated HVAC Project Engineer to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, a passion for problem-solving, and a desire to acquire new skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. You will play a key role in electrical and mechanical design, working on custom modifications for commercial rooftop HVAC equipment.

  • Base salary $65,000-$95,000 (based on experience)

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D modeling software (Inventor preferred, others acceptable)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to work hands-on when needed
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively
Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems for HVAC equipment, including build documentation and control programs
  • Create mechanical designs, including sheet metal, structural components, refrigeration, and airflow systems
  • Develop engineering documents such as bills of materials (BOM), installation manuals, product labels, and submittals
  • Support the production team with technical guidance and design documentation
  • Collaborate across teams to solve problems and deliver high-quality, innovative products
