Title: Multimedia Specialist, Digital Productions
Reports to: Director, Digital Productions
Job Summary:        The Multimedia Specialist collaborates with all members of the Strategic Communications team, including those overseeing social media, video, media, graphics, marketing, and podcasts to produce a variety of digital content for The Heritage Foundation. The Multimedia Specialist creates compelling and distinctive stories, shoots and edits high-quality video, records audio at a professional level, and stays on the cutting edge of production techniques to develop multimedia products of the highest quality. The Multimedia Specialist also assists in the operation and upkeep of Heritage Studios spaces. 

Job Duties: Create unique, relevant, and high-quality content for Heritage's digital properties.Shoot and edit packages, multi-cam interviews, mini-documentaries and other Heritage videos, incorporating relevant b-roll (videos, graphics, photos) and music, on a tight timeline.Ensure all content aligns with the Heritage brand identity and is consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice.Support the day-to-day operations of Heritage's studio spaces, managing schedules, supervising productions, and providing maintenance and upkeep.Write scripts for Heritage products based off Heritage messaging and research. Pitch, produce, and be featured in creative video products for The Heritage Foundation. Keep up with current events and pull clips to create compilation videos for social media.Write and maintain processes for various digital operations and resources.Work with producers and experts to conceptualize and produce new audio/video content, with an emphasis on industry trends and quality control.Observe new trends in digital journalism, video production, and podcast creation and work to incorporate them into existing and new products.Provide constructive feedback and creative input to enhance the quality of video and podcast content produced by other members of the Heritage team.Create video and podcast content that engages outside audiences and inspires sharing across social media platforms.Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience: years of experience in shooting, editing, and producing videos and podcasts; in-depth knowledge of audio production and radio studios, industry trends in video and podcast production, and newsrooms and the workings of the Hill and/or think tanks; experience live streaming events
Communication:   Excellent video editing, audio production, and writing skills
Technology: Adobe production suite, professional audio recording, field videography, studio production, and other video capture scenarios; lighting, livestreaming, and podcasting

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate, and the final salary offered to a selected candidate depends on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, and other qualifications; internal and external market pay for comparable jobs; and level of hire based on aforementioned qualifications.
