An Am Law 100 law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 2-4 years of experience for its office in Florham Park, New Jersey. This role provides an opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients from various industries across the country, in both litigation and counseling capacities.

Job Description

The Associate will engage in litigation and provide advice on a wide range of employment matters including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodations, and other employment claims. Additional responsibilities include advising employers on compliance issues related to leaves of absence, performance management, wage and hour compliance, and terminations, as well as drafting personnel policies and employment agreements.

Job Requirements
  • Experience: 2-4 years in an employment-specific, defense-side role with a focus on employment litigation and counseling.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills; attention to detail; and the initiative to take ownership of work and career.
  • Education: Solid academic performance in law school.
  • Licensing: Must be in good standing with the NJ State Bar; admission to the NY State Bar is also preferred.
Compensation
  • Salary Range: $175,000 - $225,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
