Position Overview:

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you'll work closely with the founder and leadership team to bring projects from concept to deployment. You'll be instrumental in developing internal tools, customer/vendor integrations, and scalable applications that drive operational efficiency and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

· Application Development: Build scalable back-end logic and aesthetic front-end interfaces using modern technologies.

· Data Management: Design and manage SQL databases, ETL processes, and ensure data accuracy and verification.

· API Integrations: Develop integrations with customers and vendors to enhance visibility and speed to market.

· System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain servers and automated processes; troubleshoot and resolve issues.

· Operational Tools: Create internal applications focused on route planning, cost reduction, and operational accuracy.

· Reporting & Auditing: Present data insights for QBRs, vendors, and customers.

· Project Ownership: Manage priorities, timelines, and deliverables with accountability and efficiency.

Experience & Education:

Required:

• Minimum 5+ years of coding experience.
• High school diploma required; degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, C++, Rust, CUDA, Triton.
• Strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with SQL and data transformation processes.
• Familiarity with server management and deployment.
• Exceptional prompt engineering and rapid prototyping ability.

Soft Skills

· Clear and professional communication with internal teams and external partners.

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

· Ability to balance big-picture thinking with granular execution.

Employment Type & Compensation

• Job Type: Full-time position
• Compensation: Base salary plus quarterly bonus

Schedule

• Hours: Standard 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday (this is an in-office role on weekdays).
• On-Call: Occasionally, you may need to perform follow-up or problem-solving on nights or weekends. If so, those tasks can usually be handled from home as needed. We strive to minimize off-hour disruptions, but the freight world can be unpredictable

Location

Our office is located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Candidates should be able to commute to the office daily. (Work is on-site/in-person, with the exception of the occasional from-home follow-up as noted above.)
