Kajiken is an authentic Japanese restaurant specializing in Abura Soba, a unique brothless ramen known for its balance of flavor, freshness, and texture. We're looking for a Front of House Restaurant Manager who can lead with energy, consistency, and care. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, values hospitality, and can create a warm, efficient, and organized dining experience for both guests and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day front of house operations to ensure a smooth and positive guest experience.
  • Lead, train, and support the service team, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
  • Maintain Kajiken's service standards and ensure consistent professionalism from the team.
  • Handle guest interactions with attention, care, and efficiency.
  • Manage daily floor plans, reservations, and service pacing.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen to maintain clear communication and timing.
  • Assist with scheduling, inventory, and staff performance tracking.
  • Support onboarding and continuous training for new employees.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience in a full-service setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable managing staff and resolving guest concerns calmly and effectively.
  • POS and cash handling experience (Toast experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of service flow, health standards, and team development.
  • Flexible schedule with availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
