Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping/Inventory Manager to oversee our logistics and inventory operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient flow and accuracy of art arriving from vendors to the gallery and also to customers who have purchased and having their artwork shipped, managing and optimizing inventory levels, researching and providing accurate shipping charges. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management, enabling them to implement effective strategies for process improvement and cost reduction.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, replenishment, and control measures to minimize discrepancies.
  • Utilize data mining and analysis skills to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
  • Implement warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for procurement activities, including negotiation of contracts and pricing.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and develop strategies for resolution.
  • Lead logistics operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices in materials handling.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in processes and workflows.
  • Coordinate with e-commerce teams to manage order fulfillment processes effectively.
  • Train and supervise staff on best practices in shipping, receiving, stocking, and inventory control.

Experience

  • Proven experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with Filemaker is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in retail management or working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers is advantageous.
