Jacobs is looking for an expert in Autodesk applications and design automation. The
Engineering & Design Automation Administrator
role is within our Business Technology Solutions team and supports all our global engineering applications and integrated third-party tools. This position can be remote or hybrid in the US.

Daily work consists of proactive technology solutioning, helping users solve issues with their software through our helpdesk system, working with large global user groups, applying highly focused skills to strategic initiatives with coworkers and vendors, and providing great customer service to our practice.

In this impactful role, you will

  • Perform server and task workstation software updates, Autodesk and automation process, service packs, hotfixes, security patches, etc
  • Set up new projects
  • Project template changes, as needed
  • Update hardware with standards for AutoCAD configurations and dynamo support files
  • Tech support lead on automation user tickets
  • Watch for errors and mentor users how to mediate proactively
  • Work with design teams to mentor the use of automation for optimization of the system and reduce errors
  • Work with leadership digital delivery teams to set expectations and manage goals and strategic initiatives
  • Review usage data and generate reports for management
  • Monitor usage statistics and guide teams for hardware optimization - Task Timing
  • Create success stories of users getting the most out of the system
  • Create communications to the practice that promotes use and expansion of the tools
  • Write knowledgebase articles that are helpful to users to hone their skills
  • Create training as appropriate for users understanding the tools and new features
  • Work with vendor support on issues that require coordination of the developers
  • Help define future expansion and architecture of the solution with tool stewards
  • Solicit feedback from users on the effectiveness of the tools and gather data for vendor software improvement suggestions
  • Drive standards globally make it easier to run tasks on Jacobs projects
  • May include tech support across all Autodesk products, in addition to automation admin role

Here's what you'll need

  • At least 5 years of technical support and Autodesk BIM management experience
  • At least 5 years of design experience creating construction documentation
  • Experience with IMAGINiT Clarity, preferable as an administrator
  • Some programming experience to support users working with Dynamo, Python, AutoCAD Scripts, pyRevit, etc
  • Training and mentoring experience
  • Clash Detection experience
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office software tools
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • US Citizen

Ideally, you will also have

  • Customer service oriented
  • Team player
  • Willingness to work odd hours doing global support or training/mentoring, as needed
  • Experience with hardware and software management, servers, and workstations

The base salary range for this position is $89,400.00 to $139, Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
