Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and personable Membership Sales Representative / Front Desk Associate to join our dynamic team In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and members, creating a welcoming environment while driving membership growth through engaging conversations and product demonstrations. Duties

  • Greet members and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Promote membership options and services through engaging product demos and upselling techniques
  • Manage front desk operations including answering phones with proper etiquette, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries efficiently
  • Process memberships, renewals, and payments accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining cash handling procedures
  • Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking supplies, organizing promotional materials, and maintaining a clean, inviting environment
  • Conduct basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions and inventory management
  • Support the team by supervising front desk activities during peak hours and assisting with administrative tasks as needed

Experience

  • Previous retail sales or customer service experience is highly preferred, especially in a grocery store or similar retail environment
  • Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in managing team or front desk operations
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math ensures smooth transaction processing
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse community members effectively
  • Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette are essential for engaging with members and resolving inquiries confidently
  • Experience conducting product demos or upselling can significantly enhance membership engagement efforts
  • Knowledge of merchandising, stocking practices, and basic grocery store operations is beneficial for supporting overall facility needs
