About the Opportunity

A
Global Entertainment Technology Company
is looking for a product counsel with 5+ years' experience for a
6 month engagement starting January 2026
.

In this role the candidate will need to have a good understanding and staying up-to-date on
U.S. and international laws and regulations related to consumer product design and gaming platforms.
Specifically, the candidate will
advise clients on issues related to consumer protection, product safety, digital/internet law, online platforms and marketplaces, user and data privacy, gaming and the app economy
.

Candidate should have a strong ability to explain complex legal issues in basic terms for the non-legal stakeholders across the company, and provide pragmatic day-to-day strategic advice to minimize legal risks while advancing key business goals and initiatives.

Key stakeholders will include multiple teams across product management, engineering, marketing and consumer services throughout the feature/product development cycle (from initial stages of development, through launch, to market strategy) on all regulatory, legal and compliance issues impacting company's products.

Key Details

  • Location: Remote / 1 day per week in San Mateo, CA
  • Schedule: full-time
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Compensation: $4,000 - $4,500 per week
  • The work will be performed on-site for 1 day per week in San Mateo, California. The other 4 days can be remote.
  • The candidate will be employed by a workforce solutions company (employer of record) for the duration of the engagement.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing, required
