Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on
Facilities Technician
to support building and facility operations in Long Beach, CA. This is a
contract-to-hire opportunity
ideal for candidates with experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance who are looking for long-term stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs (filters, leaks, lighting, minor adjustments)
  • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and troubleshoot facility-related issues
  • Assist vendors during service calls and ensure work areas remain clean and organized
  • Document all maintenance activities in the work order system and track inventory levels
  • Participate in emergency response and on-call rotation as required

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–12 months of experience in building or facility maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
  • Working knowledge of basic building systems and preventive maintenance practices
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Physically capable of working in mechanical rooms, on rooftops, and in confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare or commercial facility environments

Certifications

  • Required:
    OSHA 10, CPR
  • Preferred:
    First Aid
