M-F, 10-hour days (8 straight-time hours + 2 overtime hours); potential weekend work based on customer schedules.

Job Summary

The
Construction Manager
is responsible for daily onsite management of Engineering Services commissioning activities. This role oversees scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality expectations. The position serves as the primary point of contact throughout project execution, coordinating all site activities, ensuring compliance with safety initiatives, and providing leadership across internal and external project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as daily onsite construction manager for Engineering Services commissioning activities.
• Oversee scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management to deliver projects
  on time and within budget
  .
• Receive job handoffs and review technical requirements, scope of work, and scheduling needs.
• Utilize project management tools and software to maintain key milestones and deliverables.
• Own coordination of internal/external project meetings and formal stakeholder communication plans.
• Coordinate Client scheduling with other trades to drive execution efficiencies.
• Establish punch lists, issue resolution needs, and mechanisms for successful job closeout.
• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the duration of onsite activities.
• Collaborate with the DOC team on safety programs, concerns, and compliance with customer and contractor partners.
• Provide financial oversight including cost control, warranty processes, change order management, and risk mitigation.
• Partner with commercial operations, North American Sales (NAS), PMO, sales engineers, and Technical Application Support (TAS) to align expectations, commitments, and timelines.
• Implement requirements from technical program managers related to program-level initiatives.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and advanced project management support to enhance team effectiveness.

Required Experience

• Experience managing onsite construction or commissioning projects.
• Ability to lead cross-functional project teams and manage complex project scopes.
• Strong financial oversight experience including change orders, budgeting, and cost control.
• Experience coordinating with customer stakeholders, contractors, and cross-disciplinary engineering teams.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Experience supporting intelligent power management or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Previous work within highly regulated or safety-intensive environments.
