Commercial Litigation Attorney

Our client, a National Insurance Carrier, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join their growing claims operations. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating and resolving both complex litigated and non-litigated Commercial Property and Casualty claims including 1st party Commercial Property, General Liability, Inland Marine, and Excess Liability losses while providing coverage analysis, strategic file direction, and high-level negotiation support. The ideal candidate brings strong litigation and liability experience, sharp analytical ability, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to claims resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage commercial claims litigation strategy, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and settlement evaluation.
- Provide legal guidance to claims professionals on risk assessment, coverage interpretation, and potential litigation outcomes.
- Collaborate with claims leadership on settlement authority, litigation direction, and overall file strategy.
- Prepare legal memoranda, coverage analyses, and settlement recommendations.
- Develop strong working relationships with external defense counsel, mediators, and key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- years experience in commercial claims litigation, negotiation, and settlement strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate legal concepts for non-attorney stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing deadlines.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Salary & Benefits:
- $120,000 to $160,000 annual base salary (Depending on Experience)
