Job Summary
Implement individual or group interventions or strategies to address educational, behavioral, or developmental issues that adversely impact appropriate functioning in different environments: school, home, community, etc. May address clients' learning and behavioral problems and counsel clients or families. May design and implement performance plans and evaluate performance. May consult with other home-based personnel.

Knowledge
Psychology - Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Administrative - Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.

Work Context
Communication - Emails, text messages, Slack, phone calls, live telehealth methods may be used to collaborate, monitor, evaluate, modify, and train staff and caregivers.
Role Relationships - May be involved with staff from ancillary therapies, school sites, and other departments within the agency.
Responsibility for Others - Training staff, supervising mid-level clinicians, and developing training material to benefit the company culture and ethics.
Work Setting - Clients' homes, school sites, community sites
Body Positioning - Sitting or standing within scheduled observations for up to 3 hours. Must be able to carry at least 10 pounds appropriately.
Work Attire - Attire that is comfortable, non-restrictive, with non-conflicting slogans, and professional.
Pace and Scheduling - Create the schedule for the week. Session notes must be completed by the end of the pay period.
Primary Job Duties
- Compile and interpret clients' assessment results, along with information from teachers and parents, to diagnose conditions and help assess protocol requirements.
- Report any pertinent information to the proper authorities in cases of child endangerment, neglect, or abuse.
- Assess an individual child's needs, limitations, and potential using observation, review of school records, and consultation with parents and school personnel.
- Select, administer, and score behavioral tests.
- Provide consultation to parents, teachers, administrators, and others on topics such as learning styles and behavior modification techniques.
- Promote an understanding of child behavior and its relationship to learning and behavior.
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop teaching strategies and school programs.
- Counsel children and families to help solve conflicts and problems in learning and adjustment.
- Develop individualized functional behavior analysis in collaboration with professionals and other staff members.
- Maintain student records, including special education reports, confidential records, records of services provided, and behavioral data.
- Serve as a resource to help families and schools deal with crises, such as separation and loss.
- Attend workshops, seminars, or professional meetings to remain informed of new developments in behavioral psychology.
- Design programs to meet the needs of clients.
- Refer students and their families to appropriate community agencies for medical, vocational, or social services.
- Initiate and direct efforts to foster tolerance, understanding, and appreciation of diversity in school communities.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs and other services, such as behavioral management systems.
- Provide educational programs on topics such as classroom management, teaching strategies, or parenting skills.
- Interpret assessment results and prepare reports for funders, administrators, and parents.
- Meeting timelines and deadlines for funders and The Agency.
