Our ideal candidate will have practical experience with maintenance related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pools/spas, painting, drywall repair, and appliance installation/repair and pools. Prior experience with residential and/or commercial maintenance is preferred, but not required.

This is a full time, salaried position, with rotating on-call hours.

Job Summary:

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining the physical property, including buildings, structures, and grounds. This includes responding to resident requests for service, troubleshooting and taking corrective actions, making minor repairs, painting, and maintaining curb appeal.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize, manage, and perform general maintenance service requests to meet deadlines.
  • Inspect community grounds continuously to maintain curb appeal
  • Recognize and address safety issues and perform necessary corrective measures and procedures
  • Remain aware of community activities.
  • Adhere to move in schedule(s) and service request deadlines.
  • Monitor maintenance parts, tools and equipment inventory and manage supply needs.
  • Maintain order and appearance of shop and storage areas.
  • Perform community grounds clean up.
  • Maintain all maintenance and grounds equipment and tools.
  • Comply with national, state and local health and safety laws to reduce accident occurrences and to protect residents, the company, team members,
  • Act on emergency situations appropriately, including reporting them to the Community Manager.
  • Monitor vendor performance and report to your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of building maintenance or related experience preferred.
  • Some college and/or technical coursework preferred; HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and auto insurance.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • HVAC certification highly preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, and carpentry.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, walk continuously, and access restricted spaces.
  • Ability to operate and maintain maintenance and grounds equipment.
  • Ability to lift or to move up to 75 pounds.
  • May need to provide own tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour (depending on experience)
