Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to transport children safely to and from various locations, including schools, camps, and daycare facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for ensuring their safety and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to providing a positive and educational environment during transit.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a bus while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the safety of all passengers by conducting pre-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Assist children in boarding and exiting the bus, providing support as needed.
  • Maintain order on the bus, addressing any behavioral issues appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding schedules and any concerns.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that encourages positive interactions among children.
  • Provide educational support when necessary, drawing on skills in tutoring or childhood development.
  • Participate in training sessions related to special education or childcare as required.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in settings such as camps, daycare, or tutoring is preferred.
  • Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
  • Background in childhood development
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Experience in babysitting or similar roles that involve direct interaction with children will be considered beneficial.
